Thanks Charles, That is what I have, but I wanted to be sure as there seems several variations of the spelling of his name. First spelling: MURCHESON. Another is MURCHISON. There is another William MURCHISON SILER (1807 - 1892), born in Chatham Co., NC, died in INDIANA. He is a son of Josiah and Comfort SILER.

Do you think the spelling with an "e" is an error and it should be an"i"?
