I am the great-great granddaughter of Lydia L. Silers. She was born in 1809 in Virginia. She married William Markwood Cornelius Knott of VA in 1834 in Augusta Co., VA. Lydia died after 1860. I am trying to find her parents. Interestingly enough, William and Lydia had a son name Cornelius STALEY Knott. I know there was a Civil War soldier in a VA unit by the name of Samuel Silers. Can you give me any information on this person or do you know anything that might connect me to anyone in this family?
Thank you,
Bonnie Shelton
