Pamela,

I have a photograph of who I believe to be Henry "Wise Owl" Blanchard in Civil War uniform. It comes from my grandmother, who was the granddaughter of David Marion Berry, the husband of Emily Blanchard, Henry Wise Blanchard's daughter. I did not know of the "Wise Owl" name, but I did know of my grandmother's reluctance to mention the Indian ancestry of the person in the photo. The reason I think it might be "Wise Owl's" photo is because on another website you posted his picture: http://silverowl65438.tripod.com/blanchardpaynekelley/id4.html My photo is very, very similar. It's a 19th century photo, in metal case oval, about 2 1/4 by 2 1/2 inches.
