From your postings on "Sillars from Arran" I think your Donald is different from the two Donalds I know of. This was a large family back in Scotland and they kept repeating the same given names. The "Donald" of this listing came from Arran with his father Malcolm and a number of other family members to Six Mile Brook, Nova Scotia in 1817. Donald then moved to Megantic, Quebec sometime after 1838. At Inverness, Megantic were living another family of Sillars, led by the father Duncan who came over from Arran in 1829. Duncan was related (brother perhaps?) to the Malcolm described above. This Duncan also had a son named Donald, to confuse matters. In any case, the Donald from Nova Scotia married a lady named Janet Gray. The Donald already at Inverness was married to Catherine Ferguson. The Donald who came from Nova Scotia was the younger brother of my great great grandfather James Sillers. Hope this is of help. Sylvia Sillers
