The following information was found during research :During Price's raid at Potosi, in September 1864,confederate prisoners were captured and herded like sheep into a corral where they were kept without shelter.About 11 o'clock one night, Bill Willoughby, a marauder, went into the corral and called out the names of five men with FM Jamison being one.He and another prisoner were taken and about one hour later, shots were heard. They had been shot. After Price's raiders left town two days later, citizens found the bodies of the two victims lying in a deserted mineral pit, mutilated almost beyond recognition and partially covered with leaves.
