Kathy,
this is what I was told...
Vincenzo Silvestri from Bussi sul Tirino married Marietta Santacroce.Their pizon, Emil, brought them over. The couple settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They had five children; Dominic, Natalie, Albert, Ida and Tony.
Dominic Silvestri married Rose Santilli and they had three children; Mary (married to John Papador), Tony (married to Dawn - Chicago) and Coreen (married currently to Jim).
Natalie, my nona, married Mike Santilli.Notice a Santilli brother and sister married a Silvestri brother and sister - please forgive me putting the Santilli family first, as I am a Santilli and with my passing, the Santilli name will no longer be in Milwaukee. So Natalie and Mike had five children; Dennis, Robert (Bob - my father), Ron, Daryl and Suzie.
Albert married Carniella Purpuro and their children were Vincent and Carl.Vincent was a priest and Carl was a football player, for the Atlanta Falcons.
Ida never married.Family lore is that she had a young man and that she and he would have been together, had it not been for WWII.He died in the war.I think in Europe. My mom was with her when she had a stroke and died. So, we will not know.
Tony.Uncle Tony.Great guy.Tough guy.Married Elanore John.Their daughters are Stephani, Cindy and Lisa. (I may have spelled Stephani's name wrong).
On the Santilli side, from Pedra e Cupa were Dan Santilli and Concetta Di'Oreo. They married in Italia.Their children were Mike who married Natalie Silvestri (my grandpa and nona), Jim Santilli who married Carol, Rose Santilli who married Dominic Silvestri, Tony, who I believe died in the influenza of 1918 and Carl.
All of us are laborers, doctors, lawyers, etc.We look like America.
In fact Jim Santilli, changed his name to Jim Santelle back when, I was told, to make his name look more "American".
His children are wonderful people, very accomplished.
If you would like to know more about these people and us, let me know.Aunt Suzie, (parents are Mike and Natalie) has been over to Italy several times as have I.But Suzie, I believe, met with a "cousin" in Rome.
Hope you all are well,
Paul Raymond Michael Santilli
