Hello Irenee,
My maternal grandmother was Margaret Ann Sim born in 1876 at Dandalieth, Moray. all my Sims have various spellings of the name sometimes in the same family, and they come mostly from Knockando, Aberlour, Forres and Elgin. some of them went to Canada and some to Australia, George Sim was a logger in Canada and one I have a photo of one who was in the North West Mounted Police. They married Campbell, McDonald's, Hosack, Naughtie? and of course Sim. the family first names seem to be the same in most of the Moray Sim/Simes/Symes and also in a lot of Grant and McDonalds in the Spey valley whether there is any connections or not I am not sure, but I don't believe in coincidence. Regards, Willie
