Dear Don
I believe this is a family that I am also researching.
Stewart was the fifth of at least six brothers. Others included Herman, Chairman of the River Plate Bank and Archibald, who went into law. Presumably they came from Scotland, settling in the Wandsworth area and later moving north of the Thames to Harrow-on-the-Hill.
All the males in the family went to Marlborough College, Wilts. Stewart Sim was a high-powered CofE clergyman, presiding at society weddings and funerals. For many years he was the vicar at Brixham on the south Devon coast. He and his wife Bessie had two children, Alec and Beatrice, from whom there is no direct issue.
I wd be interested to know the contents of Alexander's will.
Hope this is of some use.
John Churcher
