Rob:I think......but am not really sure.........that I answered your last posting in July, 2001. But I don't see a posting in the Forum and can't locate it in my Out file. So I'll just be sure I have covered it by writing you now.
If, indeed, I have not answered you yet, please accept my apologies.
I'm sorry to tell you that I have nothing in my database about the ancestors you mentioned.
I can only encourage you to start the long search step by step, using family records and knowledge, local genealogy groups or libraries, county records, state or province records and the many resources of the internet. If records were made in the first place, they very often can be found. You ought at least to get backas far asyour grandfather Frank--and even to his father George. If you have not done so yet, check your aunts and uncles and older family friends who might be able to give you leads. You occasionally see on the internet reference to a person with an email address who might have mentioned names or subjects you are interested in.. Most genealogical searchers are glad to help folks like us if we don't burden them with a lot of detail and expectations that they'll do our research for us. Write some of them.....maybe they'll provide just the path you need. I forgot to mention that many local city or municipial libraries have genealogical sections that are a great source for such basic data as birth, marriage and death records. Ask the librarian to direct you to their resources
I know you didn't ask for all this and maybe I've overstepped the bounds of courtesy, but you did mention you are just starting. I know that feeling, as does every one of us who are involved in the genealogy of our family and doesn't know all the places you can start and/or go to. Maybe my "sermon" will be helpful. I intend it so. Lots of luck!!
