Dear Betty Jo,
I don't know how to express my gratitude for the work you have done for me!It has seemed like I was at a dead end on the Simmerman branch of my family. Now you have resolved a mystery and opened another door for me to pass through.Bertha Jane Simmerman was my Grandmother. She had a daughter by John Norman named Anna Mae Norman.According to my father, John Norman met an untimely death...Shot and killed in some type of argument.Bertha Jane remarried to my grandfather John E. Lyons December 25, 1906.Anna Mae was unofficially adopted by John and went by the name of Anna Lyons after that time.My father Everett Lloyd Lyons was born on Sept. 18, 1908 in Brimfield IL.Another son Wilfred, was born March 2, 1914 in Brimfield IL.Their last child Reed Lyons was born July 2, 1917 in Brimfield, IL.This particular line is mostly documented in the Fisher line of the DIANNE MCGINLEY GARDNER GENEALOGY site at the following link. http://ted.gardner.org/fish.htmlhttp://ted.gardner.org/fish.html
I have seen your name several times in my search for Christopher Simmerman and I believe I exchanged e-mails one other time with you.Are you a Simmerman? Can you tell me the origin of the family?
Thank you again for you assistance in this matter!
Sincerely,
Ron Lyons
