Simonds - War of 1812 Land Warrants

I'm looking for information on two Simonds who served in the War of 1812, John and Shubel. Both received warrants to land in Illinois for their service. The warrants were delivered to the named individuals at Homer, New York in early July, 1818. John served with Whiting's 23rd Infantry and Shubel with Goodell's 23rd Infantry. The only entry for a Simonds from Homer, NY near these dates is for Benjamin in the 1820 U.S. census. Anyone have any information they'll share? Thanks!
