Looking for any info on my paternal Grandmother, Emma Jane, who passed away when my Dad was quite young.Believe she was born in June of 1896, to Calvin C. and Wilhelmina Lloyd Simpers of Md. Her siblings were:Charles, Thomas, Joseph, and Ida Simpers Bullock, that I'm sure about, and perhaps Calvin, Sallie, and Howard. She m. my Grandfather, George L.Rupert perhaps around 1925. Their children were:Ethel Sentman,William LeRoy Rupert(my Dad),Howard J.Rupert and Marie/Mary Rupert.I have reason to believe that Emma passed away at the now closed Embreeville Hospital, Pa. died perhaps in the 1930's and was buried in Md.She might have possibly been a servant at age 15, for William F.and Margaret R.Cox,of Fair Hill, Cecil County, Md., in 1910.I am trying to figure out why Emma's "maiden" name on Dad's birth certificate, was "Handwork",instead of Simpers. The children were in foster care, after Emma died.
