Catherine Simpson - b.ca1735 NJ
Seeking information on CATHERINE SIMPSON who married WILLIAM JONES ca1754. They lived in Chester County SC.
She was the daughter of ARCHIBALD SIMPSON b.ca1712, and the sister of Scots-Irish Presbyterian Preacher, Rev. John Simpson, who urged his congregants to support the American Cause for Liberty and Independence by enlisting in the Militia himself. The British Army torched his Church meeting houses.
Specifically, I want documentation as to whether ARCHIBALD SIMPSON and/or his son-in-law, WILLIAM JONES provided Patriotic Service, or served in the Militia during the Revolutionary War. William and Catherine's son, Jonathan Jones, was a RS who is buried in Fishing Creek Church Cemetery in Chester County.
Any information will be appreciated.
