My great-great grandfather James Sinn had a son listed in the 1880 Rock Island County, IL census as Christ. According to the census, he was one year old when the data was recorded in June 1880. His mother was Dora and brothers would have been George and Louis and sisters Matilda and Emmy. My line came through Matilda so I know very little about the rest of the family. I will gladly share what I have, but you might know more than I.
