In letter dated July 7, 1963 from Mr. J. W. Carraway of Monroe, NC (born Nov. 17, 1876) he swears and has notarized before Lucille Steele, Notary Public, the descendants of "John Stewart, Esq. born 1789, died 1868, and wife Mary McCain Stewart, born 1797,died after 1850, who lived in lower Buford Township, Union County, NC" - their 7th child, "Margaret Stewart married Richard Sistare. Their residence was around Waxhaw, NC. They are buried in Tirzah Cemetery. Their children are..."
