I have Lottie's descendants (census, obituaries, etc). HOWEVER - one important thing we must look at is WHO her father was. Her mother, of course was Jane Shehane - BUT Lottie was born August 1871 and her "supposed father." James Delaney Hope Sistare, died 1862 Winchester Virginia , during the Civil War. Jane must have deliverd Lottie by someone other than James Delaney Hope Sistare who was long dead. Jane had at least 3 children after the death of JDHS - Ellen, Esabella (Bell) and Lottie. Ellen and Esabella died of typhoid in 1870: Page 2 Supervisor's Dist: No 3 Enumeration Dist: No. 77 Schedule 5 - Persons who DIED during the Year ending May 31, 1880 enumerated by me in Cane Creek, in the County of Lancaster, State of SC, (unreadable signature) Family 323. Bell Sistare, age 13, female, white, single, Born SC, Both parents born SC, Died Aug , Cause of Death: Typhoid Fever, no attending physician. Family 323. Ellen Sistare, age 16, female, white, single, Born SC, Both parents born SC, Died Aug , Cause of Death: Typhoid Fever, no attending physician. I show, in my records, a Laura Riddle (b. Nov 1967)married to Mark Thomas Elliott - any relation to you? Thanks for writing - you may wish to contact Robin Canupp Lawson of York, SC (ts_mom_481@yahoo.com), a descendant of Mary Elizabeth Sistare, daughter of JDHS. Notify Administrator about this message?
