SIVITER - Dudley and Halesowen, England
My great-great-grandmother was a Hannah Siviter, born 12 Oct 1834 (the date is given in a family bible) and baptised ten days later at Halesowen, the eldest child of James and Sarah Siviter (nee Matthews).
She subsequently married Peter Fryer on 25 July 1853 at St John's Church, Dudley, and was listed as a domestic servant in the 1851 census, living away from her family.
James and Sarah married at Dudley St Thomas on 30 Mar 1834, and their other children (with dates and places of baptism) were:
Henry - 25 Dec 1836 Dudley St Thomas
Thomas - 28 Nov 1841 All Saints, Birmingham
John - 30 July 1843 All Saints, Birmingham
Robert - 31 Aug 1845 Dudley St Thomas
Sarah - 28 Oct 1846 All Saints Birmingham
There's also a much later baptism which appears to be for the same couple (but may possibly not be):
Elizabeth Covey - 27 Mar 1859 Dudley St Thos
James Siviter's occupation is given as Labourer on Hannah's 1853 marriage certificate and Nailer on her 1877 re-marriage certificate.
If anyone has a connection with this line, please get in touch.
