Sivyer - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
I do not know where my ancestors immigrated from exactly, but I was born to a line of Sivyer's in Milwaukee, WI. I think it was my great-great grandfather who was the first white male born in Milwaukee. There was a Sivyer Steel Company started by either my great or great-great grandfather. It no longer exists but there is a "Sivyer Street" in Milwaukee that was named after him. I'm sure that I could get the details with a little research at the Milwaukee County Library.

I had no idea there were so many Sivyer's. I thought my surname was quite rare.
