Thanks for the reply. I don't know the area at all, but a researcher suggests that mine seem to appear in western Hampshire in New Forest & appear to have been centred in the adjoining parishes of Ellingham, Ibsley & Fordingham, with another group in North Stoneham near Southhampton in the 1740s -50s & could be migrants from the New Forest. They were found all along the Hampshire coast with a few moving further north in the late 18th century. Would you like me to send you the information I have on my Sivyer research? Just to see if we link up in any way?
