Hello Holly,

It appears that David Sivyer may have married a 2nd time, quite late in life, to a Diana Matilda Roberts. David Sivyer was listed in the 1900 US Census for Newburg, Yamhill County, Oregon and had been married for 10 years. He was 72 years old, born in Nov 1828 in England. Diana was 48 years old, born in Illinois in Nov 1851. They had a 9 year old son, Harrison (also known as Edwin Harrison). I found David Sivyer in the Oregon Death Index, died in Yamhill County on 16 Aug 1905.

Is this the same David Sivyer that you are researching?

The only David Sivyer that I have found in England was born in 1828 in Kent, England and was the son of Francis Sivyer and wife Sarah. They lived in Sandhurst in the 1841 census.

I am helping a friend to research this family. I would be VERY interested in more information on David and his first family, if these turn out to be the same David Sivyer.

Thank you,
Laraine Clark
