I found a David Sivyer, born 1828, in the 1841 census of England, residing in Sandhurst, Kent County, England. He is the son of a Francis Sivyer and wife Sarah.

According to the 1900 US census, I found David Sivyer and wife Diana residing in Newburg, Yamhill County, Oregon. He is aged 72, born March 1828 and she is aged 48, born in Nov 1851 in Illinois.

In checking Ancestry.com's census index for the 1841 census of England, the David Sivyer of Sandhurst, Kent County, England is the only David Sivyer in that census born between 1814 and 1834.

There really is nobody else who comes close in the 1841 England census to matching the David Sivyer who was in the 1900 census in Newburg, Yamhill County, Oregon.

I am helping a friend to research this family. I'm very interested in hearing from anyone who has any additional information on David Sivyer and his families.

Thank you,

Laraine Clark
