Aaron Sivyer - born about 1729
Hi Colleen.
It's several years ago that you were asking for info. on Aaron Sivyer, who married Mary (no surname). There's no doubt that he is our common ancestor. I don't have his precise date of birth or death, but I understand he was born in 1729 and he certainly lived to be very old. His first child was little Aaron who was born in 1753 and died in infancy. I am descended from Aaron's child No.8, George Sivyer, who married Mary Simms. Which child of Aaron's was your ancestor?
Although many babies and children died young, the Sivyers seemed to have had very large families and many survived into very old age. They tended to be concentrated, as agricultural labourers, in Sussex, but spreading West into Hampshire and East into Kent.
