Whilst tracing my maiden name of Sivers, I have found that my great, great grandfather was James Sivyer, born in 1843, he married Maria Wilson in 1867 in Ireland, their children were born in Ireland, but one of them, Samuel's children were born in Jarvis Brook, Eastbourne and Robertsbridge, by this time the surname had changed to Sivers. Does this connect in any way with your research?
