just read your question. I haven't info on that particular Skelton but I also have found a gg gramdparent skelton in Pickens county on the 1850 census/ He was Robert Skelton. He later moved to Mississippi and served in the civil war and died in or around vicksburg in july 1863. Is he a relative of yours? Also James Skelton was his sons name. I think, and he may have had other relatives named James and Alonzo, in the mid 1800s. Trying to do this from memory. It has been a while since I have worked on it. Would appreciate any info. about pickens, co. Skeltons you can furnish me Thank you.
