My ancestor was John Odis Skelton, born 1815 SC, d. 2 nov 1876. Married El. Berry. His father was Jonathon Skelton, b. Elbert Co., GA, d. 17 Jul 1810 Elbert Co. He married Elizabeth Cox (b. 1783 Pendleton Co., SC, died after 1860). Jonathon's father was Robert Skelton, Sr. (who married Elizabeth Bobo-- or Beaubeaux). Robert, along with his brothers (the oldest was William) moved from VA to Pendleton Co., SC and showed up in the 1790 census. Please tell me if you have any more information than this.
