Dear Friend,
Do you also have a copy of RICHARD BERNARD "RED" SKELTON, aka RICHARD BERNARD "RED" ERHART, birth cert? When he was born his father Joseph E.Skelton was going by his step-fathers last name of ERHART. My daughter's husband is related to Red Skelton's first wife, Edna Stillwell (1915-1982), d/o George (1883-1961) & Donnie Bell(1894-1980) (Tarwater) Stillwell.
There is quite a tangeled tale about his mother and grandmother. Does not change the fact he was brillant, but does confuse the family historian. My grandfather was with the Ringling Bros and later Barnum Baily & Ringling Bro Circus and knew Red. And had related some of these stories years ago to me, because I was such a big fan of Red Skelton. Now my daughter marries in to this family....WOW
Please write, would love to exchange what I have.
Daundra
