I don't know where the name of Ehart came from as Red Skelton' Father or Stepfather's name ; his Father's name was Joseph Elmer Skelton son of Newton O. Skelton & Ida Mae Fields; Newton was married two times Ella Richardville and Catherine Richard. My records show that Red died in Ohio and is buried in California; Joseph is buried in Vincennes near the University in front of the teacher that provided Red with the Pledge of Alligence; I am showing Joseph & Ida with five children; They were married 13 April 1905 Knox County, IN; The children were as follows:

Ishmeal Joseph Skelton b: 29 Sep 1905, Vincennes, IN
Paul Fredric Skelton b: 10 Jul 1910 " "
Richard Bernard Skelton b: 18 Jul 1913 " " d: 17 Sep 1997
Christopher (Chris) Skelton
Denny Skelton

Joseoh was born 14 Sep 1878 in Princeton, IN died May 1913, two months before Red was born

I have a newpaper clipping of Ida and the boys.
