I'm researching James Skelton born approximately 1805 in Tennessee or Virginia. His son's name was James Shelton born approximately 1830. I'm not sure why the name was changed to Shelton. His son was Robert Henry Shelton born 1864 in Virginia and married to a Vaughan. Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated.
