Thanks, Gerald--I've learned quite a bit about Sally Skelton since my original post. You found the correct one. Her father was James Henry Skelton, and her mother is unknown--she is believed to have died in a cholera epidemic in eastern Tennessee in the late 1820s. I've recently learned that following her remarriage, Sarah Bradley moved to Georgia, where she died in either 1900 or 1901. Her body was sent back to Tennessee for burial. I've found James' grave in Roaring River, Barry County, Missouri (via Find-A-Grave). I was aware he had a second family with Polly Curry--what a long line of descendants.
