Evelyn, I am researching several lines that you have according to your postings on this forum and my surname matches from my Nelson dna testing. I have John May 1800s N.C., William Hurst 1760 N.C.,William Dykes and wife Susannah Lankford. Anthony,Winston,Irby,Wyatt ,Large,Bayless,Robertson,Tillery,Hahn,Heim are also surnames in my matchesjust to name a few. I am researching my g.g. grandmother Julia Ann Shelton born 1823-1828 in N.C. or Va.She md. a John Nelson born 1821 in N.C. or Va. John's parents were James Nelson and Nancy Reynolds. The May surname comes into play from Reynolds May b. 1777 which I believe is related to my Reynolds above. Alot of these relatives lived in either N.C., Tn. some which lived in White Co.,Tn. and also in Benton, Ark. where alot of the May families ,including Reynold May lived. I am trying to find the Shelton side of the family now. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
