I'm stuck with my William Skelton ca.1810 that married Catherine Cox (02/04/1835) and later Elizabeth Huffstutler (03/14/1876). He died 03/25/1888 Blount Co., AL and no gravesite has been located. There are many Skelton families there in Alabama and in Georgia (he claimed GA as his birth place on several census), but we cannot link him.

His grandson William Ellis (my great grandfather) had believed that William ca.1810's father was also William of North Carolina.
