According to my records, Wilson was the son of Ralph Skelton, who was the son of Jacob Skelton (Sr.), who was the son of William Skelton.

Wilson Skelton married first Elizabeth White in 1852, 3 children; she died in 1858. In 1859, Wilson got a license to marry Artemisia Thompson, but it was returned unexecuted. On 07 October 1859, he married second to Sarah Jane Murphy, 2 children.

Wilson served as Pvt. in A Co., 63rd Reg't. Ind. Vols. during the Civil War. He fought under Sherman in Georgia against Johnston and died in the Battle of Resaca of wounds received in action 14 May 1864.

Details of his children will be forward to you via mail.
