Dear Earl,
Thank you for your reply. You are the holder of the Skelton keys. My cousin, Wilma Bruce, of Jay, Oklahoma sent me a couple of sheets at the end of which she had copied the census records for James' and William's families: Madison and Carroll counties AR from 1850-1880. No middle name is given there for James. The upper parts of the sheets come from "Barry County Pioneer" records. I think I can scan and send these on an email reply. It says records were copied from a Bible owned by John Wesley Skelton, Rt. 1, Church Hill, TN., copied by Prentiss Price, Rogersville, TN. Are these familiar to you?
Thanks again,
Jan
