My Skeltons were from Scotland and N.Ireland.I was told that 3 siblings by the names of Arthur Skelton,James Henry Skelton and Sarah Ellen Skelton were sent to Australia after death of their mother, Catherine Skelton,wife of Edward.Catherine was born 1868,date of death unknown.They were taken in by Skelton relations already living there.Other siblings went to USA relations,and I know of at least one male that lived and died in Scotland,he had a male son(may be called Barney)Anything here fit?I would like to know more about this branch. I know that we also had a Mary Cummin(s)in the family.
