Sorry for the delay--I've just joined the Internet world of family geneaology!
I can't quite help, but we have definitely a connection! Edith Olmsted (Mott) was my "step"-great-grandmother. She married my great-grandfather, Oliver Columbus Skelton, sometime between when my great-grandmother died in 1916 and when Oliver & Edith's son Gerald was born in 1923.
If you do turn up any additional information about Edith, I'd be interested in learning about it. She's technically not a blood relative, but I'm fascinated by all the family history!
