John William SKELTON born 20 May 1836 in Boston, England and died 15 October 1880 in Lyon Twp, Oakland, MI. He married Susanna Sarepta JONES, the daughter of Thomas JONES and Nabby BIRD, in Lyon Twp, Oakland, MI. He immigrated from Boston, England about 1856/7. His mother, or an aunt, Ann ALLEN born about 1820-Eng, also living in Commerce Twp, Oakland, MI with her father John William SKELTON born 1784 England-died 12 May 1871 Commerce twp, Oakland, MI, her husband-William, and kids-all born England. He is possibly the John SKELTON in Company F, 15th Michigan Infantry Civil War.
He and Susanna had the following children: Fred born 10 November 1866-married Elfie May HOWARD; Adelle born 1859; Richard born c. 1861; John born 1863-married Ina P. HOWARD; Edith born 1870-married Charles BIGELOW; and Edward (twin) born 1870. Looking for a marriage date for John and Susanna and proof of his parents.
