Col. Byers of Indiana had an extensive archive on the Skelton Family. I am descended from Mark and William Skelton in SC; William, Thomas Newton, Newton Anderson and Loyall Barnett Skelton all of Georgia.

I believe someone named Eric Skelton has the Byers files now. I left him a message but have had no reply. Let me know if you can get a lead on the archives. Col. Byers actually had a copy of my grandfather's father's family bible record which he sent me more than a decade ago.
