This is getting more interersting. The Hoffmans were a prominent farming family also in Upper St. Clair Township. I remember something about one of them marrying and moving away from the township. There were three big Hoffman farms in the township. Of the 7 or 8 children on the three farms, only two that I know of married, one of the boys from the Fort Couch Road Hoffmans, and one of the girls from the McMillian Road Hoffmans, Lucy, who married a Lutz. I don't know what the man's name was, but it certainly could have been Joseph, because all of them were devout Catholics and did much for St. John's Church in Beadling.
