Yes I believe this would be the same Paul Skidmore. I actually found a Kentucky court case that ties the Speed family to the Myers family. It's titled Speed VS Myers and it's about a land deal.
Joshua Fry Speed was close friends with Abraham Lincoln. I believe the Myers family was related to Lincoln's mothers Hanks family and thus related to Actor Tom Hanks which connects to another part of the story.
So I am working on the Myers, Skidmore, Speed, Hanks, Lewis and Clark families.
Joshua Fry was Peter Jefferson's partner. The Myers family were surveyors and builders in the 1780's or in today's terms, General Contractors. Some of them seem to be Native American
I have very solid records that Sacajawea's Catholic name was Janey Myers and her grandchildren from John Baptiste were Barbara and Margaret Myers. Native American surnames are usually from the mother or grandmother.
Most records say Sacajawea was from the Land of the Three Rivers. Well the Land of the Three Rivers was also known as Pittsburgh. John Baptiste was adopted by William Clark. William Clark's real son was Meriwether Lewis Clark. Meriwether Lewis Clark went to West Point with both Robert E Lee and Ormsby McKnight Mitchell class of 1829. Ormsby's sister Margaret Mitchell, born in 1807, was my great great grandmother.
Lewis and Clark expedition started out in Pittsburgh August 31 1803. The Land of the Three Rivers.
