I am looking for information on Rebecca Skidmore Moore, born Nov. 1, 1819, in Virginia [W.Va.] and died August 9, 1883, in Middlefork TWP, Vermilion Co. Illinois. Would like to know why she and some of her other Skidmore sisters with their families moved to Illinois, and why, at this time. Did they all move together or individually, did they go overland or by water, when did they start their trip and when did they arrive in Illinois?
