James SKIFF in NY in 1800 census

James SKIFF was enumerated in Cambridge, Washington Co., NY, in the 1800 census. The listing includes one male under age 10 and one male 45 years or more; one female under age 10; one female to age 16; two females to age 26; and one female over age 45. I believe that the female under age 10 is my GGG grandmother, Jane Skiff, who married Charles HAYS. The 1855 census for Orange, Schuyler Co., lists her birthplace as Washington Co., NY. Three children of Jane and Charles are known: Mary, named for her paternal grandmother Mary HAY; Phebe; and my GG grandfather James Skiff HAYS, named for his maternal grandfather, James SKIFF.

I have not yet been able to match my James SKIFF with any in Banks' book. Does anyone have any other information on this SKIFF family? Thanks!
