I am new to this genealogy research. My husband is Robert Glen Skiff. His family has a written family line dating back to James Skiff in 1636 in Sandwich, MA. The letter also states that Saunders (or Sanders)
Skiff b. 1765 had a large family and lived at Brookfield, VT and later moved to Charlemont, MA and was enlisted from Williamsburg. I find this very fascinating. However, after this I have difficulty finding the next 3 generations. Anyway, my husband's father was born in Michigan but settled in Southern Calif in the 40s.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely, Carol Skiff
