Skilbecks all over the world

I am interested in the name SKILBECK. My mother was a SKILBECK. The name is very rare. It is thought that the approximate 2,300 SKILBECK's around the world are all related. My family originally came from York, England. I do not know the parish or town. All I know is that my ggggrandfather was born there in 1812. He was apprenticed as a shoemaker much against the will of his father. He emigrated to the USA at the age of 17. First living in New York and then settling in Michigan. Email me with any SKILBECK info that you may have.
