My grandfather was a Skilbeck, although my mother understood he was born in London to parents who had moved there from York. He and my grandmother moved to southern Wales where they raised five children. My grandfather was Albert Edward Skilbeck, and he died when my mother was 9 in 1933, so he would have been born in the 1880's or 1890's. My Skilbeck uncles, William, Edward and Lewis all lived in Wales, but all have now died. Any names sound familiar?
