FOUND: Tintype Photo Album from the Skinner Family
I have good news for researchers of theSkinnerfamily.
Your family's antique photograph album has been located!
I am Robert D. King and in my travels, I see family photos lost inantique stores and for sale on ebay.I think that is sad knowing that thereare family tree researchers and descendants, that would treasure thosephotos. So I have decided to try and do something about it by returning asmany as I can to their rightful families.
So, I buy photos with names and dates or places on them and list them onmy webpage, so descendants of these lost souls can find them and bring themhome. The thousands of photographs are mostly from the 1800's and includeTintypes, Daguerreotypes, Cabinet Cards, Carte-de-visites, Personal PicturePostcards, Photo Albums and Yearbooks.
Recently, I was able to acquire a Tintype photo album from the Skinner Family.
This small (5 3/4" x 4 3/4" ) white album has ten photos in it.
Nine of them are identified and eight of them are tintypes.
The names in the album are:
Miss Ader Skinner
Robert Hawkins - "Son of Tom & Emmer [Burns]"
Callie Hawkins - "Son of Tom & Emmer [Burns] "- Gainsville, Georgia
Essie Hawkins "age 17 months for grandma
Carl Bruce - "First son of Harris & Mattie"
Harris Bruce - "Husband"
Mattie Burns Bruce - "wife"
Dovey Burns Evans
Ella Skinner - "Mother to Ader & Emma"
One unidentified tintype and two names without photos:
