My wife's GF was Andrew (Andreas) Clausen Nielsen Skow (Skov, Schou) b. 1857 Daler, SW Denmark. He m. Anna Christine Muusmann 1880 at Brede, Denmark and came to Colorado the following year, worked mining camps of Leadville and Como, then Denver (Globeville), and in 1890s to a homestead in Elbert County. Anna d. 1920, Andrew in 1926, bur. Elizabeth Cem. Andrew's brothers Louis and Carl joined them in Colo mid 1880s: Louis (1863-1963) m. Ellen Munson in Colo, moved to Manhattan, Kans late 1880s, then to Rosthern, Saskatchewan in 1921. Carl (ca 1870) received a land grant at same time and adjoining that of Andrew's in Elbert Co, but there is no other record of him there. He appears in a Manhattan, Kans photo of Louis & Ellen Skow and first child, but no further record found of him there either, and we would like to determine his fate and if he had a family.
