Hi,
I am an American Slatcher descendant. My 4th great grandfather was William Slatcher. He was born in England in 1829. (I have a note that he was born in Daventry, Northamptonshire, England). He was the son of William Slatcher b. 1796 and Sarah Batchellor b. 1800

He was married to Annie Eliza Brooks at St. Mary's Church, Newington, Surrey, England on Nov 5, 1852.

William and Annie (Brooks) Slatcher emmigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsyvlania by 1857 when daughter Ida was born.

William died Jan 22, 1888 in Camden, Camden county, new Jersey. He widow Annie died between 1910 and 1920 probably in Philadelphia.

Their children are: William A. b 1852, Lavinia b. 1855, Ida born 1857, Ella Louise b. 1853, Alice Eugene b. 1864 (my ancestor), Clarence S. b. 1868, Bertha S. b. 1869, Kate b. 1870 and Edgar b. 1874.
