Hi Kevin,
The information you provided is certainly interesting.I cannot say that I recognize any of those you mentioned, but I agree that the two these Fitchburg Slattery's are probably all somehow related.Here is Elaenor Slattery's full obituary.Perhaps you will find some clue here:

SHREWSBURY - Eleanor V. (Slattery) Reardon, 85, of 46 Gates Road died Tuesday at Sunrise Nursing Center, Escondido, Calif., after an illness.
Her husband of 57 years, Dr. Edward R. Reardon, died last year. She leaves three sons, Dr. Edward J. Reardon of Dedham, Dr. Daniel P. Reardon of Washington, D.C., and Dermid J. Reardon of Shrewsbury; three sisters, Catherine Drohan and Barbara Slattery, both of Dennis, and Ann Dohoney of Marietta, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Anne C. Reardon of Shrewsbury, with whom she lived; 10 grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. She was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Patrick and Bridget(Grier) Slattery, and was raised in Worcester. She lived here 52 years. She graduated from St. Stephen's High School in Worcester, where she was a noted spelling-bee competitor.
Mrs. Reardon once worked at Wickwire Spencer Steel Co. in Worcester. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Worcester Woman's Club.
The funeral will be held Thursday from Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Fitchburg. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mustard Seed, c/o Rev. Bernard E. Gilgun, St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
