These two are almost certainly the couple found in Red River TC census, 1880 , page 290. This couple is, I believe, the same as found in 1860 and 1870 Jackson co GA, although the 1860 listing shows them ten years older.
They are almost certainly son and dau-in-law of Mickey Slaton, for whom no marriage has been found, and who is still a Slaton in her brother Wade's 1865 Jackson GA will::

Mickey had other sons William Gibson and Edward Berry, who came to Grayson co TX,(Sherman). Yet other sons Robert, John and Thomas N have names too common to clearly trace, but son Truman seems to have migrated to Oconee co GA.
