I would be very interested in these photos.

There was a large family of Slaydons headed by William Justice Slaydon, called Silver Bill, who lived on the TX/LA border, and your photo almost certainly is a descendant.

Part of the family lived in DeRidder and Sanger, and Archie Slaydon wrote several detailed accounts on the family for a History of Newton co TX called "Glimpses of Newton." One of this family married into the notorious McGee clan.
